The Time is Now to Wake Up!

Angel

We live in extra-ordinary, historical and revolutionary times. A revolution that is taking humanity beyond forms and shapes. The revolution of our time is what I call the revolution of Consciousness. For many this doesn’t come without suffering.

Consciousness, which has been sound asleep under the spell of the identification of the “I” is slowly waking up. There is an increasingly powerful alarming impulse, and the number of people sensitive to the wake up call is getting louder and stronger.

So what does exactly mean to ‘wake up’?

The effects of this “impulse” is waking everybody up at one level or another. Everyone I know it is being stretched and tested beyond his or her “capacity.”

Life is a classroom for all life forms and living beings, not just for a few and it seems that challenges are needed in order to be awakened. The key is to see challenges as opportunities and use them properly so they can propel us to a higher and greater state of consciousness. So say yes to all the challenges that come your way, by embracing the present moment, accepting the lessons and blessings instead of complaining about them.

Though the amount of people awakening today is far larger than ever before, many are still unaware of what they are actually experiencing and can’t tangibly define it with words.

Meditation
The time is now to wake up!

My clients tell me “all they feel is that successes achievable in the world are less and less attractive to them, that there has to be something deeper, more profound and more meaningful in life than successes, failures and material accumulation.” As a consequence, they get exposed or connected to the experience of emptiness and suffering.

According to ancient wisdom, suffering arises through our minds — unconscious thinking or, in other words, the voice in your head comes from not knowing the true nature of reality. For many, the state of suffering is very real as they cannot separate the event from the voice in the head that gives meaning to the event. Can you see then that suffering doesn’t arise from the event itself but the mental commentary surrounding it? Continue reading “The Time is Now to Wake Up!”

What About Love

I choose love

By Fernanda Beccaglia

So many people ask me “Why love hurts?” And yes, love can be painful at times simply because it creates the way or space for more joy, light, wisdom, bliss, compassion, forgiveness, and transformation in our lives. Love is growth.

But love itself does not hurt. It is growth that hurts, the death of the ego, the ego that stings. It is the loss that the ego mourns.

Each transformation is painful because the old situation is being left behind for the new. For example, when a relationship ends, you feel hurt, your hopes and dreams have crashed; you feel lost and lonely, wondering what comes next.

“A miracle is a shift in perception, from fear to love.” — Marianne Williamson

I am love
I am love

When in doubt (or not), always choose Love
Always choose love because to suffer in love is not to suffer in vain; you are taken to higher levels of consciousness, and if you surrender what first it felt as pain it will evolve and transform into bliss. If you choose the mind/ego, you will suffer, it will be useless suffering with an unproductive outcome. By choosing love over fear there will be always a positive, creative outcome for you. To be afraid of love, to be afraid of the growing pains of love, is to remain enclosed in a dark shell, to die while alive. If the gold wants to be purified, it has to pass through fire.

“And he day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” Anais Nin

Practice: How to be the embodiment of love

Find your courage and love fully and completely with abandon, living as if were on borrowed time.

Trust and live in and through your heart.  Love takes you from the head to the heart and nurtures, comforts and heals you even as you pass through the fire. Breathing in  love, the ego drops and the soul arises. Love is food for the soul.

To move quickly from pain to bliss, ask yourself:

  • Is this pain for my growth?
  • What are lessons and the blessings behind it?

Learn from each experience, watch the ego, embrace your fears, become the observer, and always choose Love.

Go through the dark night of the soul, surrender, as it is only in the womb of the dark night that the sun evolves and the light fully and divinely embraces you.

When situations occur that the ego mind interprets as bad, you are not being punished. It does not mean that you are less loved; it means that you are more loved. You are becoming grace. The Uni-verse needs you to be the healing light, love and compassion.

Believe that what you already have is what you need. From the highest level you are one with all that is, nothing is separate from you. You are loved beyond words.

When you are willing to be open and loving to no matter what, you are not waiting for a miracle, you are the miracle, you are it.

Equinox, New Moon, Rosh Hashanah and Navaratri Blessings

The time between Equinox and New Moon draws us into deep quiet and a clear sense of waiting.  There is attention, watching and listening.  What does Spirit want to bring?  What insights of the world beyond want to whisper their hidden secrets?

In many ways life is a series of endings and new beginnings. Just as the Moon wanes and waxes, and the days grow shorter and then longer, our lives too are constantly in transition. We are constantly saying goodbye to someone ~ or something.

A friend, colleague or teammate is moving on. An old part of us, an old attitude or behavior that no longer serves is being released.  We may be physically moving our home (a big event!) or metaphorically changing our perspective by releasing unhelpful thought patterns (no less important!).  This cleaning out prepares us for new blessings of wisdom and insight.

This is why the Vedic tradition has always held such transition points as sacred times for meditation. In Sanskrit they are called “Sandhya,” those meeting points between night and day, dark and light, ending and beginning.

Literally “Sandhya” means twilight. Twilight is a powerful time to honor the continuity of our lives, to give gratitude for another day in which to learn and serve, and to open to the wisdom that the Divine has to offer us.

A similar phenomenon happens in the transition of the season from Summer to Fall.  As one season ends and another begins, there is an opportunity to reflect deeply on our direction in life, and to choose our course for the upcoming period.
So as we enter this time of new beginnings —Equinox, New Moon, Jewish New Year and Navaratri (nine nights of the goddess)—it is time to see where we have we been playing small.

Here are 5 tips for imbibing this season of Equinox, New Moon, Rosh Hashanah and Navaratri (the nine-night festival of the Goddess which starts on this New Moon):
